Review of Nintendo Switch Lite and comparison with Switch OLED

I recently purchased a used Nintendo Switch Lite after researching various options for buying a Nintendo Switch. There are three versions of the Nintendo Switch: the improved battery version, the OLED version, and the Switch Lite. I debated between purchasing the Switch Lite and the OLED version, but ultimately decided to buy the Switch Lite. I would like to share why I made this decision.

Review and Reason for Purchasing Nintendo Switch Lite

Reason for Purchasing:

The Nintendo Switch is a game console that has been around for about 7 years and can be used as a portable or docked device.

I was interested in purchasing it because there are now many games that I enjoy available on Nintendo, especially “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.” Previously, the cost of purchasing the console just to play “Zelda” was too high, so I gave up on it. However, in recent years, many JRPG and third-party games have been released, making it worthwhile to purchase and enjoy.

Therefore, I thought it would be a good time to buy a Nintendo Switch.

Even if a new generation console is released soon, it will take at least 2 years to have enough games to play.

Currently, the PS5 has been out for over 2 years and still releases games for PS4, so even if a new Switch console is released in 2 years, I can enjoy it for 4-5 years.

review

I have been using the Switch Lite for a while since I purchased it, and the clear advantage of the device is its lightweight design. It doesn’t have a solid feel and has a light touch, so there isn’t much burden when carrying it around. Moreover, the colorful options make it seem like a fashionable item rather than a gaming device.

It feels more like a toy than a gaming console, so if you’re thinking about giving your children a Switch, the Switch Lite could be a good choice. The device is affordable and lightweight, making it easy to handle.

However, if I had to mention a downside, I would say that I’m disappointed that I can’t enjoy playing The Legend of Zelda on a larger monitor with better display quality. Although the Switch Lite is a decent portable gaming device, it’s definitely not the best option for a proper gaming experience.

For those considering purchasing a Switch Lite, I would recommend two types of people. First, those who are unsure whether they will be good at playing games or not should buy a used Switch Lite and try it out for a month or two before making a final decision. Second, those who want to give it as a gift to their children should opt for the Switch Lite as it is portable and lightweight enough for them to carry around. However, if you are looking for a device that can connect to a larger external display, the Switch Lite is not the right choice as it does not support external display output. In that case, you should consider purchasing the regular Switch or the Switch OLED.

That’s it for my review of why I purchased the Switch Lite. Although it has been a long time since the Switch was released, if you’re still a beginner and considering buying one, I suggest trying out a used Switch Lite before making a decision.
